Fees
How are they calculated?
A FREE no obligation consultation for each client is offered prior to any new instruction to discuss the issues to resolve or the project to deliver. An estimate of the fee will be then confirmed in writing to the client based on that consultation.
The fee charged by GRC Planning is normally related to the cost of the time and resources expended on the project. Time spent is chargeable at an hourly or daily rate. You will only be charged for time spent. Fees are competitive. GRC Planning is not VAT registered so all fees quoted will not incur VAT.

GRC Planning abides by the code of professional conduct and practice setting out the standards, ethics and professional behaviour expected of Members. The Chartered Institute requires its Members to adhere to five core principles, namely: Competence, honesty and integrity; Independent professional judgement; Due care and diligence; Equality and respect; and professional behaviour.

The hourly or daily rate includes the following:
- Research into the site history and other technical work arising from the implementation of the instructions received from the client including site visits where necessary.
- General advice to the client and advisors.
- Meetings with the client, local authority representatives, consultants or advisors associated with the work, and other relevant external organisations or representatives.
- Examination and consideration of all the relevant background documents, development plan and other relevant documents.
- Coordination of other consultants and advisors in the preparation of submissions and project management.
- Preparation of reports, statements, and all other necessary documentation.
- All necessary correspondence (including e-mail) and telephone communication in connection with the work.
Irrespective of the client and the size or nature of the project, it is considered important from the outset to establish:
- A clearly defined written brief and scope of the service offered.
- An agreement about terms and conditions of engagement and the timing and method of payment. These will be defined in an engagement letter. (Terms and Conditions of Appointment).
